Meet the Staff

Peter Schrappen

As Executive Director of CBF, Peter handles the broader goals and networking with other organizations. He brings his extensive experience as the Director of Government Affairs for the Northwest Marine Trade Association to the table. Throughout his career, Peter has both worked in Washington state’s Environmental Community and collaborated closely with them when he worked for other organizations. Specifically, he worked with Washington Conservation Voters and the WA Environmental Alliance for Voter Education (WEAVE) for five years, organizing volunteers to think strategically about protecting clean air, clean water and open space.

Peter enjoys long walks on the beach and cruising Puget Sound and Alaskan waters on his family’s Selene 55. He is equally likely to be found schmoozing it up with the state’s most powerful politicians or hamming it up with the local bar’s most regular clientele.
