Working with Boaters and Marine Trades for Cleaner Washington Water

2nd Annual Clean Boating Foundation Auction A Hit!

The entire boating world converged on Shilshole Beach Club last Friday night. Okay, that’s a bit of an overstatement. What did occur was a tremendous event (thank you, Dwight Jones of Elliott Bay Marina) that raised a ton of money and a lot of spirit for Clean Boating Foundation. This was the second annual benefit for Clean Boating Foundation and our friends at Fish Northwest, and this event was even more successful than last year’s inaugural one. Early numbers are in and over 22% more was raised this year.

Good food, great wine, tremendous fellowship all added up to an evening for the ages. As Patti Segulja-Lau of Dunato’s Boatyard  put it, “We had a great time supporting the Clean Boating Foundation and Fish Northwest. The CBF’s success is especially important to me and I appreciate their approach and leadership in facilitating boatyards to successfully comply with their Boatyard permits.  I also liked the cakes for dessert.”

The recreational boating community really stepped up big for us. We auctioned off moorage at Elliott Bay Marina and Twin Bridges Marina, boat services at Monkey Fist Yacht Care and a ton of boating hardware – just a small snapshot of the over 120 items that NW Marine Trade Association’s members donated to raise some serious funds for us.

Thank you to all who donated items and a big Thank You to all who attended – your support goes a long way!
