Don’t Assume!
May 22, 2014 | by Frank Gonzales
Don’t assume, it makes an a…donkey out of you and me. Just because a yard offers copper free paint, that doesn’t mean that is what they are putting on your boat. I was talking to a boat owner the other day asking what type of paint they were going to use on their boat. He assumed copper free since there was a copper phase out poster in the office. Not the case though, this yard (as do many) goes with whatever was on the bottom before. A fair choice by the yard as the path of least resistance can mean continued sales. The point? Boaters, be sure to ask for copper free paint when you haul out.
